I always encourage new artists to invest in themselves if possible, personally me, it took me some time to be able to purchase some recording gear, but eventually I was able to save a lot of money on the long run, I remember going to a studio many years ago and paying for studio time, I payed the guy and they just hit record and walked out. It was the early stages of my career me recording but right there in that moment it was when I knew I had to start buying my own gear if I was serious.
